FS: 45° mounts for Baja Designs S1 LED cornering lights $50

I designed these mounts for my Baja Designs S1 LED lights to angle at 45° to fill Light Zone 2:


My goal was to get these lights mounted as low profile as possible. I didn't want them poking up like 45° mushrooms out of my front bumper or A-pillar.

This is as flush-mounted as I could get. This position requires cutting into what is left of my plastic bumper.


I designed the mounts using FreeCAD software and printed it using my Prusa MK3S printer.


These lights fill out the right and left corners where my bumper LED light bar falls off.

They can be powered independently using my center console switch panel that controls each exterior light independently. Or combined with the front LED Light bar switch as I have also done. My build thread for these lights is here.

I think the finished result is pretty subtle and I like that the light is protected by the bumper and not sticking out above the hood like an A-pillar mount would.

looks awesome and love the function behind having lights there. any specific reason why you installed them into the body rather than the after market bumper?

 

I installed in the body because plastic is easier to cut .

As for function, last weekend we were driving to my friends cabin on this dark winding road and the cornering lights really helped see where we were going. My wife actually complemented me on that! I thought about notifying the press: "Wife complements husband on truck mod..." but I figured they wouldn't believe it.
