That's impressive mileage on the original tires! I wasn't sure how they would do on slick roads but so far have done good for me. For an all-around tire, those Duratracs will treat you well in snow, dirt, and gravel (I have them on my 4Runner and like them a lot). Just watch the ice.

This changeover with that adaptor has caught my attention. I want more light, but not at the expense of other drivers. Any thoughts on how it looks 'from the other side'?

I never get flashed. The projector dissipates the light. I didn't use the adapters. I simply just shaved the extra fin off the inside of the bulb socket. I would probably have bought them had I known they existed. I'm super happy I did this H11 to Phillips German H9 mod. My light output was worse than my 20 year old first gen stock headlights before this mod.

Hmmm. Do they need to be a Philips H9; I guess I thought the output would be similar.
I've also heard that high beam bulbs don't last as long due to higher wattage/output, yet I can't recall ever replacing a high beam bulb and we drive our cars to 200k+ miles. Of course the high beam is used less but in that many miles it seems there are plenty of chances to burn it out.
    Appreciate the info.

The sticked lighting thread has all the answers and then some; but the cut off remains the same. Since the light source is the same size and in the same location, the projectors still work exactly as designed and h9s don’t blind other drivers.
Everyone runs Phillips because they tested the best in that thread and go for less than $10 apiece.
They do burn out more quickly though. That’s the trade off over the h11s.
Shaving the tab inside the bulb is absolutely an option just like adapter harnesses, but both are unnecessary. You can pull out a green cap from inside the headlight cable with a pair of pliers and they will then fit either h9s or h11s.

Love the color firstly. Second, how do you’d eat up those crates to not move

WeatherTech in-channel deflectors. The front ones were kind of annoying to get settled in, but things work perfectly after keeping the windows closed for about two days.

Ate em' up with big bites.

I put a keeper rod behind them. You can kinda see it in the image. I placed it so the crates are pretty snug by the tailgate, and with the bed mat they feel surprisingly secure. I was going to thread some old climbing slings through the crate bottoms and link them to the D rings at the back too... but I think that's actually unnecessary. As a test I left a full 5 gallon water jug, a case of la croix, and some other shit in there for 30+ miles of driving and they haven't budged at all. If they move I'll add the slings.

Nope! Already there, just uses a slightly smaller bolt. Horns end up perfectly centered too using the existing horn plugs with no cutting. Grounded each horn to its bracket bolt. Super easy install.

I read A LOT about increasing light output in this thread.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

Over the past couple years of trying different things I ultimately will stick with this
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...11-projector-headlights.589465/#post-19689309

For $10 a bulb on Amazon I'll deal with any replacement costs. I just put these in back in October, so I can't comment on longevity as of yet. I upgraded my reverse light bulbs as well as my fog light bulbs based on @crashnburn80 writeups and testing
