My New Toy

I picked up this little guy at a gun show this past weekend. It's a Glock 43. The Glock 43 comes in 3 versions: the 43, the 43X, and the 43X-MOS. Not sure about the difference between the first two, but the MOS version has the little rail underneath the forward end of the barrel where you can mount a laser sight, which I plan to do.

I'm starting to get serious about having and EDC and while my G19-4 is nice and holds 15 rounds, it's very heavy and bulky to carry around; especially with an IWB holster.

Oh, and I bought an IWB holster too.

 

Nice! I think the main difference between the 43 and the 43X is capacity. The 43 is a 6+1 whereas the 43X is 10+1, both single stacks. I have the 43 and the grip is just not quite long enough for me. I've been thinking of trading my 43 for the 43x for that reason.

 

Palmetto State is coming out with their Dagger subcompact, which will have a new magazine design that is supposed to fit the 43X and have 15 rounds, sorta like the Shield mags, but it's plastic coated so you don't have to replace your mag release like you do with the Shield mags.

Get yourself the shield arms magazine which will increase your round capacity to 15+1
