Update: bad catalytic converter. Both lights come on together, so I had it confirmed at the stealership. The zero point calibration wiped out the stability code I was getting, so at least that problem solved. Anyone recommend a good and affordable catalytic converter kit? Driver's side is bad and I'm thinking of doing both just because. Plan to do it myself unless anyone has a good reason I shouldn't? Haha

My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport doesn't even have a pin 12. Yes there is a 16-pin OBD connector but you can visibly see which spots have wires going to them. And yes, I know how to count with the wide part of the trapezoid on top.

I believe 2018/19 and up has a different pin set up. If the paperclip reset did not work for you. I posted a troubleshoot here on this thread #321. Good luck!

To all that have had this issue and wonder if it work, I have to say I went through the process and it worked like a champ. Lights are reset and I now can operate the VSC. I was leery about it working. One attempt and it did the job.
I did not remove the battery when I did it and still worked.

I've had the vsc light come on after a hard hit that messed my alignment up, alignment fixed it that time. But I've had it on now for months, went got hair cut and bam! Lights on lol. At this point I've just said the hell with stability control

Have you tried a "zero point calibration"?

If you don't mind buying a scanner with ABS functions, or finding a friend that has one. It can possibly fix your issue.

The Innova 5210 scanner can do it. Some people in this thread below were successful.

    Yes please!
This worked on my 16OR. I bent the steering knuckle and when I replaced it the steering wheel was misaligned with the wheels. After I got the alignment done the VSC light came on and the paper clip method worked on my second try.

So happy to see this thread! I installed long travel suspension and this code popped up as soon as the truck moved. Looking forward to trying this after I get the truck professionally aligned on Monday.
