yeah. posted about this a little somewhere else on TW. Had a stowaway on a hunting trip, a kangaroo rat, and found out days later due to the odor. Apparently, the blower fan and the rat did not get along. After disassembly and over an hour of cleaning the fan and surrounding crime scene, I bombed it with one of those air sanitizers and a couple of weeks later and two cabin filters she was good to go.

Does the 2nd gen and 3rd gen use the same size filters?

Actually 2nd pic. See how it tells you how to orient the filter with respect to airflow. With the blower on the bottom you want to filter foreign material before it goes through the fan. If the filter was oriented 90 degrees in either direction, left or right, you wouldn’t be able to read and follow those directions.

The first picture shows the proper installation orientation. You can confirm this by viewing some of the You Tube videos showing the filter replacement.

That's how it's oriented in ours. Seems to be working fine. Thanks Alex!

My sister had a mouse problem. If you can find where they are getting in, fill it with steel wool. They hate steel wool.
