Bed tie down??

    None yet
    I’ve searched all over and can’t find anything about the 2 threaded nuts in the bed rail below the back window near the center. I can’t believe I’m the first person to ask but I haven’t found any information. My local Toyota dealer and mechanic said “that’s a good question”
    That are they for? Can they be used? I was thinking about getting a HAM radio and using them as an antenna mount. Any suggestions?

    They’re for the OEM tonneau cover.

    3rd Gen doesn’t come with a front bed rail. I think your referring to the factory mounting location for the tonneau cover.

    You can however purchase the 2nd Gen front bed rail and install it with factory hardware in the bed.

    They’re M6 threaded IIRC. Could put a pair of Quickfists or something there if you want.

    Welcome to the forum. As previously mentioned get a front rail for a Gen 2. It bolts right in.

    Based on what the dealer said I didn’t expect this type of response. I was expecting a response in a week. Now for the second question. Any idea where I can buy the one shown in RIX TUX post? Or something similar for an antenna?

    This is correct. I had the Toyota tonneau cover on my 2017 and this part goes there. It centers the cover.
