I just submitted eform1 for my APC9k. We’ll have to compare approval times. I had already paid the $200, now I’m hoping it expedites the process.

I'm still waiting on 2 eForm4 cans from last August. One was certified 08/24/22, the other on 09/07/22. I'm keeping my sights set on one year, that way if they get approved earlier it will be a pleasant surprise.

Curious to how they are going to process millions of forms all at once if everyone was to register. Would have made more sense to grandfather the braces in and stop production. Also, would like some sort of compensation. Why is there nothing about them compensating people?

 

That's easy. They're not going to.

They're not going to do that either unless they're sued and ruled against. Buddy who owns an FFL turned in several bump stocks to the local ATF office when the executive order was signed. He's currently trying to get reimbursed and said they basically laughed at him. Fortunately his step father is a lawyer and former state representative so he's going to try that route now.

 

Looks like the “rule” was updated to the Federal Register today. So the 120 days clock starts 1/31/23 if anyone is interested.

I would like to be reimbursed for all of the SBR stamps I've paid for. Minimally, all the stamps I had prior to their determination that a brace is a pistol.

Complicated, it is.....

 

Anyone know if these newly hired ATF agents are single men with no children?

What's up with the photo requirement?

 

When I submitted mine they only asked for a photo of the existing engravings (manufacturer & serial number), same as with a regular eForm1.

 

Yeah photo of markings as usual. I started on one of the two I’m kicking around filling. I got them added to my trust last minute yesterday just in case. I’m undecided if I should file or not.

 

Since it just hit the register today I'd give it alittle time to see what happens. There are already several lawsuits tee'd up that were just waiting for the rule to become official. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an injunction very soon.

 

This is obviously overreach by the ATF. They are always fishing to see what they can get away with

 

I'm going to give it a little bit first lawsuits dropped today 2 that I know of.

A vets org filed another on behalf of disabled vets

 

I guess if it gets overturned, I got stamps for free. These were things I was going to SBR anyway.

 

I see. I don't recall ever sending a photo for a form 1, but I noticed the last time I logged on to Eforms was 2016.....

 

well if you were planning to SBR anyway then midaswell get the free stamp.

 

I don't want free shit from a government that I, and others like me, fund. To me that's granting me permission, which is in turn making them more powerful.
