    I have followed the maintenance schedule per the manual 5 Toyotas 2 pickups, 2 4 runners and a 1st gen Tacoma. No less than 350k miles on each one, zero major repairs on any of them. Current truck is 2015 Tacoma with 150k zero issues.

    That’s my plan as well. Just follow the manual.
    7 year old Tacoma with 53k
    6 year old tundra with 28k

    at my rate, should take me 40-
    50 years to get to 300k. Probably won’t have them then. I’ll be running a pair of 6th gens by then

    Or you can follow a friend of mine’s service schedule- change the oil every 3k-5k, change the timing belts every 150k and run it into the ground with over 400k not giving a shit about anything else but plugs and wires. Getting 300k out of a Toyota isn’t difficult

    300k is kind of setting the bar low on a TOYOTA, I'd be more like 425k+
