    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I don't think this idea works on the pre 2001 tacomas cause we have gas door locks. But I like this for my corolla which is similar in design

    Mostly stock - but I do have a suction cup phone holder - its pretty sweet
    HA! Now that is a pretty smart idea! I probably won’t use it because I am someone that worries a lot but that is great!

    Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
    I have 2 different spares zip-tied to areas on my pickup. I also have a locking gas cap so that wouldn't work too well for me. Nice idea though although hopefully a sneaky criminal wouldn't think to look there.

    You can have copies made that don’t have the black plastic part but rather are totally flat. Such copies painted the same gray as the door would be harder to spot. I doubt that area was purposely made to hide a spare, unless you know otherwise.
