What's funny is, most of my required critical thinking stopped after I got out of the military.

Sure I remember a lot, but so glad I'm not doing it anymore

I didn't capture half the stuff mentioned above.

But then I remember my stuff sounding Greek when I mentioned one of my jobs and how it applied to what I did to someone else on here.

You'll be using all sorts of that critical thinking with Kwikfab productions. I'd rather spend the money for labor by doing it on paper before spending the money to build something that maybe might work kinda well enough the customer will buy it (the entire mentality of the owner and creator of this company lol)

Not if customers want simple things I've got a cut file for. :duh:

But then it'd be simple money.

Tbh I miss it a little. I do the same types of math on repeat - it gets boring

I miss the whole "time crunch" of it myself, and the effects of said mission.

That's actually the last test that we do prior to turnover to the client. We load the entire building (usually throw 40-60 Megawatts of load at it) and then dump all utility feeds. Goal is to have the building transfer to UPS/generator without any loss of power/cooling to the servers/network. If the systems all work as designed and we are able to transfer to generator and back over the course of several days, we succeed. Most of the sites I work at have at least a week or two worth of fuel onsite and have contracts for fuel delivery if there is an extended outage. Needless to say, most can go at least a month or two without any utility power coming in. Had one build where we blew up the substation transformer and the building went on generator for almost 6 months.
