Map help using IOS 16.3

    Need assistance- just did the usual drill of connecting my IPhone to the supplied red cable. Activated Google Maps in my phone. Clicked on MAPS on the head unit.
    Get a message saying,
    “ I need to Activate Siri for CarPlay to work “.
    What the heck do I need to do to connect to Maps?
    Was it the Update?
    I never use SIRI.
    Please advise. Currently need a map immediately.

    Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
    It must have been in the update.

    I guess following the simple instructions it’s telling you and setting up Siri will have to happen in order to use maps.

    or download google maps. Problem solved.
