Alright so I've already been on other forums and I've been trouble-shooting and can't figure this out.

Problem: Pre collision malfunction see dealer popped up randomly. A few month back I installed the ARB summit bumper and never had an issue. Now I did wash my truck earlier this week but that cant be the issue now. When it came up the weather is nice and sunny.

    1) I've tried calling Toyota but they said they can't help and the truck needs to go back to it's stock configuration. No help

    2) I've disconnected the sensor and reconnected it and disconnected the battery.- didn't help

    3) now I've shimed the sensor so it has a higher angle hoping it will correct itself.

Is it a bad sensor? Can I fully remove it if so how? Or is there a reader that will delete the code? (My code reader wasnt finding any DTC codes)

    Hope someone can help.

Maybe something came loose. There's some other suggestions in that thread I linked.

Just unplug it:notsure: if it goes away drive without it unless you want to take the stuff off and go back to stock. I’ve had mine off and on the truck 6-7 times never had an issue. Go to a junk yard buy another unit plug that one in see what happens.

I have a question, probably a dumb one. I just started getting this message. I never use cruise control and dont care about all this tech crap. Articles I read warn that if you dont get it fixed asap that you could end up in a fatal crash. Is that a CYA? Is this going to cause my brakes to lock up for no reason or is it safe to drive with the annoying message?

Hi, did you got this fixed?? and if so, how? my truck does the same but randomly, it can be off for 1 week, then randomly just appears, sometimes if i turn off the truck, warning goes away, sometimes it stays on for 1-2 days and then just goes away, what I have noticed that if I hit a pothole or something, sometime it comes on right after that.. it's driving me nuts... any ideas anyone???
