I have a 2017 non JBL Tacoma. I'm looking to keep the factory HU and add new speakers and amp. I have JL C1 690 up front now still deciding on rear door speakers. Sub and sub amp will come later. I'm looking at getting an AudioControl AMC 4.300 and an AudioControl LC6i. I talked with Crutchfield they sent me a list of everything I would need to install this...t-harness, rca patch cable, and speaker wire. I understand the connection of the t harness to the HU and stock harnesses then to the loc and the patch cable to the amp. I would like to be able to go from the amp and connect back to the stock speaker harness, preferably without having to splice in to each wire. Is there a way to do this?

Just curious, the ACM accepts and processes speaker level inputs, why bother with the LOC?

Good point. I was under the impression that the loc would correct limitations the HU puts on output levels before sending the signal to the amp. This could be a misunderstanding on my part.

Using a LOC when you have no other choice is one thing, but otherwise if the equipment is quality (which that certainly is) and can process the speaker level input you're just inviting trouble adding more connections/junctions/processing to the mix.

Good to know. That gives me $185 to spend on other equipment. Thanks for the help!

Using the ACM 4 channel, you won’t need the LC6i as long as down the road you get a subwoofer amp that corrects bass roll off, like the matching acm 1.300 or any other audio control monoblock amp.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm thinking of grabbing a sub and sub amp as well.

Quick question for you. If I get get the acm 1.300 along with the acm 4.300. Since the acm 4.300 doesn't have pre amp outs what is the best way to connect both amps to the HU?

Create a jumper between the front inputs And the sub amp input

just two short lengths of speaker wire is all you need
