Only seen videos on how to remove the 2001-2004, is the 98 much different? Or is it the exact same?

I need to remove the bumper to replace one of the chrome end pieces.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Have you crawled under your truck at all?

It is pretty straight forward Just be careful you don`t drop the bumper on yourself.

    Literally 4 or 5 bolts

Undo them, and bumper comes off in 5 minutes

Use 6 wall sockets, not 12.

Better to use a quality socket that grabs the walls and not the corners.

Figured it out. Turns out the nut in the picture was welded on or something and not the nut/bolt for the bumper. The actual one that I needed to undo was below it.

I had posted pictures then deleted cause the initial front end is different than the older 1st Gen; bolt locations are the same meaning the welded nuts are the same.

Now that you've got it off you're thinking "man that was simple"

haha exactly. I broke one of the lower clips tho (there's two plastic clips that attach the bottom of the bumper to the frame), not sure how important those are for when I put it back on

Where did you buy the new bumper from? I have a ‘97 but I really like that style and want to grab one.
