No not considering Nuclear to be clean but hydroelectric is great for a small portion of the population, I mean LA is already trying to rob water from the Mississippi! huh! Everyone wants to blame "climate change" for the drying up of the west coast but I tend to think it has a little to do with the millions of people living there consuming water and power (to charge their hideous EV's of course LOL).

All of BC and most of Canada are powered by hydroelectric but its true you do need to river resource just as its true global temperature increases undoubtedly increase droughts

Please stop projecting, I'm not "worried" about impact. I am however interested in the discussion and have spent time trying to figure out where each of the political parties is spewing garbage to pander to the ignorant masses and what parts have merit. Don't assume that because someone disagrees its just because they are pushing the "other" sides political agenda.

I purchased a new Tacoma with dismal fuel economy instead of the Tesla (car) that I could afford. I'm not in this discussion because I'm trying to shove some agenda down someones throat, that said I have studied the issue, spent time slogging through data (DATA, not YouTube/Facebook), digging into sources, and am recanting that in the face of "information" from those just regurgitating what Facebook said.

Why refinance your house to a lower interest rate if you can't get to a zero interest rate? Because better is still better and a strawman argument won't change that.

The first mass-market Teslas are hitting 15 years old without widespread battery failure, thats longer than the average car lifespan. Battery replacement is no common nor required. Thats with the older NMC Lithium batteries, the current LFP designs double the expected lifespan.

I want to know how Ranchers and people living way out in the country are going to be able to get by with an EV.. I just don't think it makes sense to only have one type of vehicle available and assume one size fits all. For city drivers and people making short trips between towns is one thing, but for people that need to be able to drive long distances, I don't think an EV is the solution. Just my 2 cents worth.

Helicopters are kinda flying cars. Thrust ÷ weight then TWR ÷ gravity of planet. I don't think flying cars will ever be a thing. I just cant see a car weighing that little where it will be viable.

I agree. I see nobody talking about EV tractors & us farm folk. FYI Just shedding light on EV Tractors

"Monarch is one of two manufacturers in the U.S. making fully-electric tractors. The MK-V has a base price of $50,000.
Soletrac, also based in California, offers a 25-horsepower option that’s available for purchase now and recently added a 70-horsepower option that will be available next year. The Soletrac e70N has a runtime of 3-8 hours and costs $74,999 base price. Fendt and Kubota have released electric prototype tractors abroad."

I'm an old Fart, and I thought by now we'd have the flying cars like on the Jetsons cartoon. Press a button and it folds up into a brief case. Yeah, I want one of those, and the Big 3 can keep their EV's.

That's the way to do it. I have a covered junction box on a garage wall that is just dead ended 220v. I don't need it now but if I need it in the future a charger is dead simple. I'm sure an 80 or 100 amp line would be better but even having 30 amp (and the breaker box for it) would more than cover daily driving.
