Why are offroad motorcycle wheels spoked but offroad truck wheel are not?

I read that spoked wheels on motorcycles help absorb shock, and cast wheels would get damaged. But, Dakar and rally cars/trucks also go through similar shocks but never run spoked wheels.

 

My guess is that it's all about mass, (loads) - dynamic and static - spokes large enough for trucks would just be too heavy.

Akshully, 4 of those would help drown out uncool squeaky suspension when cruzin the mall for quim.

 

I’m probably ordering spoked wheels when I get an EV. Give it that combustion feel.

 

Because spokes get in the way.
How many spoked wheels have you seen with off-set?

On an Offroad vehicle you can air down and have enough tire side wall to act as your cushion in place of spokes and still maintain stability and control, on a motorcycle if you have too much side wall or air down you loose significant stability and control.

Beyond that most trucks don't fly like motocross bikes and the ones that do have redonculous shocks and so much weight spokes to accommodate it would be too heavy or ineffective.

I hear that. I'm 54 and retired 10 years ago and i still can't keep track. However it is kind of fun no having to know what day of the week it. Good thing for cell phones
