AF0A31E8-0A92-449F-8829-FDDFE0464322.jpg Figured I’d start my own build thread on my 2003 XC V6/auto. To date, the only mods I have done has been the Tundra brake upgrade, but I just ordered (today) all new suspension components:
    - Bilstein 5100 shocks
    - OME 881 springs
    - OME Dakar leaf springs
    - Exhaust relocation hanger

I also have a set of 17” FJ steelies coming my way and plan on going with 255/70R17 tires. I dig the ‘tall and skinny’ look.

Will post some pics once all the parts come in and am sure I’ll gave questions.

I named this ‘Dingo’s’ build after my cattle dog, Dingo.

I ordered a new set of 17” steelies from RTX. They came last week but I haven’t had any time to even open the boxes. This weekend, I came across a set of 5 FJ steelies on my local Craigslist so I bought them as well. They aren’t perfect (clearly a spray bomb job at one point) but the price was right. I’m probably going to return the aftermarket ones but haven’t decided that yet. Now I’m in the hunt for a set of 255/70R17 tires.

So my Wheeler’s UPS package arrived yesterday. 4 new Bilsteins, 881 springs and the Dakar leaf springs out back. I’ll post some pics tomorrow. How long should I anticipate it taking to swap these out? I’m probably going to want to paint the control arms because the original paint is all but gone at this point.

Looking good OP, the stock OEM steelies are a sweet look on these trucks:F184E67C-66C2-406F-A0C1-11C280E0F4BA.jpg

My next big endeavor is going to be to swap out the automatic for a 5-speed. As soon as that gets underway, I’ll start posting pics/info.
