Got a call from the sales dude I worked with to get this truck.
Apparently it was 2 years to the day I took it home -
Just under 12,000 miles of excellence.

Funny part about the process, after I test drove it and got home I realized I still
had the key in my pocket. Told the wife I have to get this key back or he'd be in
deep doo-doo. As I was walking out the door she handed me the checkbook and
said: Don't come home without it....

He wanted your truck because they are desperate for used vehicles?

    Congrats!

I'll be at 2 years myself in May.

But this is about your truck. You've got 5K less than mine...so you are babying your truck! lol

Holding up fine in the Arizona heat. Keep it washed and waxed. So far so good.

I'm retired. Got no commute, just short drives into the desert snooping for things that move, birds, snakes, lizards, bigfoots, the usual stuff.
The wife has all of 40,000 miles on her 2017 Forester ... gotta get her a new set of tires whether she needs 'em or not.

Yea I dunno, guess some 'thing' popped up on his phone to remind him to call me and yap.
No talk of trading, or buying another, or selling this one, just yapping and howdy-do.

    What a coincidence!

My wife's 2017 Elantra is getting 4 new tires today--her car has 42K miles.

I'm semi-retired (25 yrs - Active Duty Military) but working at local hospital full-time in Materials Management Department.

With all the daily grind duties I experience M-F, I'm ready to full retire at 60 (I'll be 57 in June).

I have to prioritize/scrub my expenses and determine how much is needed to live comfortably.

Congrats on the 2-year mark and continue enjoying your time with nature.

Congrats, mine will be 2 in August . Mines all stock still also. Even its chin strap is there. I love how other folks rides look all modded, but I can't do it while having kids to help through college. Just glad I even have one. Many more years of safe ownership to you, and everyone else.

Buddy bought a 2022 TRD Sport in August. Current mileage was 2500. Realized he needs the bsm so he wanted to get out of this one and just order a 2023 with everything he wanted. Carmax offered $33.5 in December because they said the market is softening. He refused. Called him back and offered him $39.5 in late January. That's what he paid new so he took it. Looks like the used market for the Tacoma is still strong. As long as the wait for a new one is several months the impatient buyers will pay top dollar for used ones. Personally I love my 2022 TRD Off Rd. Already have 12k in 8 months.
