Full Control of Infotainment when Vehicle Moving

A user on TW mentioned in a previous thread that cutting the purple wire on the 28 pin connector to the Entune will disable the speed detection and give you full functionality of the head unit.

Looking for validation on this as I would love to be able to search by artist on Apple Music instead of being forced to search through playlists...

What truck and what head unit? I don't remember the variations but there are a bunch. Jbl, non-jbl, nav, 7", 8", 360 camera...

 

Currently have a 22 OR with the non JBL head unit, no nav, and only a backup cam

 

I just use the voice assistant.

 

I find even basic search functions way too dangerous when I'm swiping through spotify. I'll be panning through pod cast eps and realize I'm not 100% driving anymore.

The voice search isn't perfect, but its good enough to get you by until a stop. I find its utterly useless search kid songs with Siri haha.

 

If Siri didn’t have an aneurysm every time I asked basic queries, I’d be more inclined to use it.

 

There’s a learning curve.
