When I see someone parked in handicap that does not belong there I get old bent over limping and ask them " Do you need my help carrying anything heavy" just to embarrass

 

Well I know what FUBAR (F'd up beyond all recognition) is.

But I'm unfamiliar with DILLIGAF. Care to share?

 

Well Good Morning Porch pals & Sue! Heading for a bright and sunny 70ish*! I'll take it. Cold front coming tonight, but it's just going to bring cold winds. Nice day = PUTZ! Got some new solar lights to check out, some different hardware bins (The Harbor Freight cheapies are coming off the door!), and stuff like that. Think I will go get Cypress Mulch tomorrow if it's going to be cool. There - a plan!

Tom, at the rate we DON'T put miles on the RAV4, it will be 2025 before I need a real dealer service again! I get up to Cedar Park for donuts after the Car Show first Sunday of the month. That's almost up where you are. Maybe we could get together for a lunch and lie some Sunday?

I’ve had my placard for many years now, and was embarrassed to use it for a long time because I knew I didn’t look handicapped. Even now I feel self conscious getting out of my truck when parked in a handicap spot. That’s as it should be though, no matter how cripped up you feel, there’s always someone worse off who is more deserving of that consideration.

 

Do I look like I give a ?

 

Handicap plates and placards often travel more than those who are the handicapped. When you see said vehicles, remember that it could be another member of the family. Of course, those abusing the space? Just call them "Mentally handicapped."

 

Yup, you got it on the GTO, and the GT on the GTX I think is Gran Touring along with most other cars labeled GT,
I have read several different things concerning the X in GTX, Xpereimental, Xtra, and that it also means nothing and was just added to sound cool because the GTO had 3 letters. I was always under the impression that it stood for Xperimental after reading an article that stated that years ago, maybe not. Then there's the Ford Fairlane GT and GTA, and I'm sure a lot of others!

 

Good day everyone, not having a good day here in the frozen tundra of North Dakota my wife fell and broke her hip 3 hours ago.

 

That is like the one I used...Does it look like I give a f#&@.....Kurt a couple of different words but same meaning. In my later work years I used it a lot.

Now a days I have trouble just keeping up with the manufacturers of cars let alone models. I like keeping it simple .

 

Oh geez, not good; so sorry to hear. How is she doing (other than the obvious) and what is the prognosis?

 

Surgery, 5 months ago she destroyed her shoulder. This is all not good for a 70yr old woman.

 

Hate to hear that, not good, hopefully she will heal up and be good as new.

Ouch. I hope it can be repaired easily

 

Our prayers are with her. Hoping for a speedy and uneventful recovery. Falls at our ages are never good.
