I think this is a great first buy for the 4Runner.

Asked the dealer if they did the gear oil changes in the diffs and T-case and they said, “yes.”

Of course, I thought bullshit so I’ll do it myself. I drain all of the oils and they are actually not bad at all…someone doesn’t know to wipe off the gunk on the magnetic drain plug though. Overall, fluid changes were easy peasy.

also removed the XREAS system which wasn’t connected to anything since one of the prior owners installed Bilsteins.

Took the mudflaps and running boards off.

next on the agenda - poly bushings for LCA or just get new arms as the bushings are non-existent in the drivers rear LCA. Upward and onwards!

What year 4th gen did you end up with? You might have mentioned it upthead but I didn't catch it. We've got a 2009 V6 that is an awesome rig. I wanted the V8 but the wife wanted the 4.0. Happy wife, happy life. lol

it’s the 05! I’m surprised with the MPG this far. Then again I’m stock height with road tires. 19 mpg coming all the way from AZ. Up next…spark plugs!

Another awesome trip to USAL, the views make the drive worth it. We did see hail for a few minutes, that place keeps things very interesting

    Good times with @530Taco @71tattooguy @essjay @SwagThor @CemenTRDgen

First time seeing an Elk up close, those things are massive
