Totaled?

Affects from a minor low speed collision. Insurance deemed my 2019 totaled today.

@StrangeDuck Yea - really don't know how this could be equal to the price of the truck though but it is what it is

 

We have had 2 this year with similar injuries, both were fixed. Took months though.

It looks worse than it is, the ubolts usually just give way.

 

Wow. I'd consider buying it back if there isn't any frame damage. Usually have the option to keep it minus the "salvage bid" or "salvage value."

 

Keep the tires and wheels for sure...

 

Start fresh with a 2023.

You are asking us if it's totaled, with only 2 pics, even after your insurance told you it was totaled?

 

It is Friday a totaled story,…. I see two things but I can’t tell for sure but it looks like the tire/wheel looks push backwards and angled. Is that true? Pictures aren’t really that telling. I would take any mods along with the wheels and buy a new truck. I hope your insurance will pay enough for that. Good luck

 

something is missing

 

Totaling a vehicle means the insurance company can sell the parts and pay you out for less loss to them. The parts are in demand and are worth more than writing you a check for a depreciated truck or repairing it. It doesn’t take much for an insurance company to total a vehicle in todays market.

Eithere there is frame damage or the parts needed are on backorder and insurance doesn't want to pay for a rental car for that long. If you can buy it back from insurance and verify theres no frame damage, that would be a great route to go.

 

Insurance Adjuster totaled it so he can buy it back himself because he doesn’t want to pay dealership markups.

 

is this a real question? Or just a great first post complaint?

Look at the other side- they could have repaired it, and you could have the frustration of waiting weeks, and very more likely months for parts, and have to deal with taking it back once or twice to get little rattles and things like that fixed again.
