Im having an issue with my 99 tacoma dieing at idle. Im not sure if the problem is also while in motion or not seeing as it just started happening once i pulled into the drive way at my house. Its not sputtering like its lack of fuel or anything it just shuts down randomly as if i turned the key off. Sometimes it will start up immediately after it shuts off and sometimes it wont start back until i let it sit for awhile. I have replaced the crank shaft position sensor and cleaned the idle control valve. Before this started happening i was getting a code for the knock sensors P0330 while driving about 2k rpms. Im not sure if this is seperate issues or not. Any suggestions on what else could cause this? Thanks in advance for the help!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Try a new knock sensor

Just an fyi I finally fixed my problem! Turns out it was as if my key was being turned off… not sure if it was the am1 or am2 relay in my fuse box but I swapped the two to see what would happen and wa la! I discovered that those relays tie into the ignition switch. Hope this helps someone in the future!
