    Good day,
I am currently working on assembling the parts needed to do a clutch job, and I just wanted to see if anybody had some suggestions on other parts to replace/upgrade while in there.

My truck is not my daily driver so I can afford to take my sweet ol' time and DIY the project and plan to clean the transmission case while out of the truck.

    Current Parts/Plans:
    Exedy Clutch Kit
    LUK Flywheel
Marlin Crawlers Steel Braided Clutch Line Kit
Marlin Crawlers Heavy Duty Pressure Plate Bolt Kit
    URD Short Throw Shifter
    OEM Transmission Mount

My carrier bearing on the driveshaft is shot, so have been kicking around the idea of a Tom Woods, just don't know if I want to throw another $680 at the project.

Would you replace the starter, slave cylinder, clutch fork, master cylinder or anything else as part of the project?

I have no plans to get rid of the truck so I am trying to do things once and do it right. Any advice is welcomed, thanks!

Check marlins clutch kit to make sure they don't send you a Chinese pilot bearing. They did that to me and it seized in less than 30k. I also would just replace the carrier bearing, no need for a 1 piece driveshaft.

Good shout on the bearing, I'll double check before anything gets installed.

Real only gain I see for the one piece is fewer wear/service items and an easier swap, out with the old and in with the new. But again, the cost of a new driveshaft just for that gain seems wasteful.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Any more inspect and compare the new and old parts so many parts are boxed wrong .

I always do new clutch hydraulics with a new clutch kit.

Inspect the clutch Fork for wear If in doubt replace.

If it is your first Clutch on the Tacoma now is a good time to invest in a Long 1/2' drive extension for the 2 Top bell housing bolts .

The issue with a one piece is that they can actually increase vibrations as it's pretty long.

I also recommend a good transmission jack, really makes the job go smoother.
