My search didn’t turn up the answers I was looking for. At what point, amount of wheel weights, is it better just to go ahead and remount the tires instead of throwing more weight at it?

Ideally less than 2 oz on an oem style tire.

On truck LT tires usually I stop at 3-4oz Bust and spin. Or have them come back after some wear.

I haven't seen a bad balancing tire in ages, quality has come up big time in rubber industry.

I'll go as high as 5-6 oz on a mud terrain.
