    Hi all,

I am looking at this 2nd gen [IMG](https://drivetownottawa.com/vehicles/?dsp_model=997) and can't tell if it is lifted. The dealer swears there isn't a lift kit on it but how is the space between the top of the tire and the wheel well greater than on my stock 2nd gen.

I have 17" rims and this has 18.5" rims with some beefier tires than mine....so shouldn't the space between the top of the tire and the wheel hub be smaller? The shock absorbers are also all the same colours and sizes as on my stock Tacoma.

Dealer is telling me its because of the rims and tires, does that make sense? Also if there is a lift kit can they use the stock rams(the blue and yellow tubes inside springs)? Perhaps they added some more to the leaf springs?

Thank you for your help in advance!

I have updated the original post, hopefully I answered your question...I am not great with truck part names specifically.

IMO from the looks or stance, the truck is lifted.

Lifted for sure. Probably front spacer and block if I had to guess.

It looks lifted to me as well. The "rams" you mentioned (blue & yellow tubes inside the [front] springs) are shock absorbers, commonly called shocks.
Some front shocks (not the originals) can be adjusted to raise the front of the truck.

FWIW, $36,871 Canadian converts to $27,537 US.

Although I can agree with the 8 year old and no lockers part, I've had amazing luck with every single BFG tire product Ive owned with the exception of some KM1s that came on my 2015 Jeep that got uneven wear from the previous owner.

I have absolutely been merciless to my previous KM2 285/75/17s too, taking them to 4 consecutive EJSs. I've had some BFG ATs prior and although I didnt like the tread, the tires were as high quality as Id seen and with proper rotation lasted many, many years.

    This is my guess

It would also explain why the dealer says no lift... all looks stock parts to him. Same shocks, same amount of leafs

Thanks all for your help! Would it be expensive for me to remove the front spacer and block?

    100% lifted

If you got the tools, it's an easy job. Maybe hit up some local forums and see if you can get some help if you don't have the tools or know how. I wouldn't pay for something like that, but that's just me. Unsure how much a shop would charge for a said removal. Sorry...

Not at all. Actually if you want it back to OEM you would actually hope it's this kind of lift. Then you don't have to buy anything new.
Maybe new u bolts if they snap on removal of the alleged rear block.

If you pay a shop to do it. I imagine it would be 2-3 hours max for labour

Yeah, most likely a spacer lift.
