I have a blitzsafe auxiliary input adapter for my 06 non-JBL head unit. I hooked this up several weeks ago and it has worked great ever since. Today though I removed my battery to install an HID kit, which of course resets everything electrical. Now I can't figure out how to get the head unit to see the adapter again. I didn't have to do anything special when I installed it, the head unit just turned back on with CD1 track 99 and it worked. Now it will just play the disc if one is loaded, or do nothing if there is no disc. My roomate has a 4runner with a USA SPEC ipod adapter and he said pressing the DISC button twice will switch to the changer. No luck there for me either.

I haven't had the truck but a couple weeks, so I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I have no reason to believe that the HID's themselves are causing any problems.

Just an FYI in case someone else comes across this issue...I removed the head unit, unplugged the adapter, powered up the the head unit and shut it down, plugged the adapter back in and everything was good.
