New Member 2003 Tacoma

Hello Group. I am new here and getting ready to get rid of my 2002 Toyota Echo and buy a 2003 Tacoma regular cab as soon as I can find one. I will be wanting to most likely get rid of the bench seat and add 2 singles and the center console. Will I need brackets to mount the console? If so, does anyone have a source? Can I even mount the center console in a regular cab? I do not think I have seen that configuration yet?

 

There should be screws holds but if not you can drill holes for self tapping screws.
My truck came with buckets and center console and I replaced the stock buckets with aftermarket,
You need to find a regular cab console and your good to go.

 

Mounting buckets can be tricky to get the seat to line up with aftermarket brackets or the seats to fit the OEM threaded holes. FYI,
Corbeu makes seat brackets that fit perfectly into the body threaded screw holes..

 

Finding Tacoma specific buckets sucks. Add 3rd gen 4Runner seats to the mix and @nzbrock one of our members here makes a quality adaptor to run the 4Runner seats

 

I went from a Toyota Echo to a single cab too! You will love the added utility but will miss the mpgs. Yes, some single cabs had buckets and a console. Huge upgrade over the bench.
