Fluid Film, WoolWax…..were all to spray?

Other frame cavities, where does everyone spray?
    Do you spray entire suspension?
    Exterior frame rails?

Any spray in doors or hood cavities?
    Bedsides?

For other thread readers, the original post was about white letter tires, hence the comment I was quoted on above.

    Recycled the thread? :der:

I have used woolwax for a few years. I take all of the skid plates off and pressure wash everything from under the truck. I put a fan on it for a week, then spray the woolwax literally everywhere underneath except the brakes and exhaust. I get the 360 nozzle up inside every frame hole and cavity, as well as on top of the frame rails. The whole bottom side of the body gets covered, even the rockers on the outside of the pinch weld. I also get the frame rails and engine mounts from above, through the hood opening.

I know some people remove the body plugs and spray up in them, as well as inside the door skins, towards the bottom by the drain holes. I have never done that, though I will probably remove the body plugs next time. Some people may also remove the fender liners and get around the wheel wells from the inside. You could probably get away with doing these concealed areas much less frequently then the frame cavities and body mounts.

I'm not a fan of any corrosion inhibitor that needs to be reapplied every 6 months to a year. Cosmoline for the win.

Do not put fluid film or wool wax in your body panels unless you want to smell it for the next couple months driving around. Just don’t do it.

Spray inside the frame front to back as best you can, trying to get 100% coverage at the areas near the cats. Then hit the outer frame and shoot the gap where the frame layers sandwich. Yours will probably have all sorts of plastic plugs along the rail just try not to break any if you need access to spray. Or use one of the flexible spray wands that comes with the fluid film can.

I use a better smelling spray and pull the rubber plugs along the rocker panel and blast away. That’s a 1 and done thing.
