Where did my air filter go?

    They come as a Pouch. I found little Potpourri Sacks that tie on the top to put the Pouches in.

    Thanks for the help guys. I saw a chipmunk sitting on the front tire this morning, so they are my chief suspects.

    The charcoal filter is intact with no damage. At least I know the filter medium was not sucked into my engine. Thanks for asking me that, I never thought to check it (because I did not know it existed). I am just deciding where to put the screen. I got a steel screen with 1/4" opening and fine wire. I think it protect without impeding the airflow much. I saw one or two tutorials on TW showing how guys have installed it in the piping. I wonder if it might be better to make a large square the size of the filter and put it in front of the filter. Do you think having a large area of screen would be better for the airflow or am I overthinking this? I tend to, so feel free to tell me.

    I had same problem a few years ago.
    put wire mess over intake tube.

    Remove your whole air box and clean it out. Spray out the throttle body and maf sensor as well.
