Somehow I managed to skip right over installing my fog lights. I'm loving these DDS3's.
    IMG_20221201_195513.jpg

I recommend The "Heavy Duty Dual Output Light Bar Wiring Harness" Diode Dynamics offers to make installation a breeze
    IMG_20230204_135207.jpg
I thought the relay fit perfectly next to the VSV I just carefully bent the mounting bracket and used a self tapping screw

    IMG_20221205_180911.jpg
I'll still have to fine tune the angles just a smidge and I really should have done that before installing the winch because it's a much tighter fit in the bumper now

Now that I've got a winch and lights I really need to stop procrastinating and install the wiring I got from Speedytech7 ( thanks again :hattip:)
I should probably get a 105 amp Denso alternator ready to go in with the new wires so that means I should probably get belts and if I'm doing belts I really should do the timing belt and water pump and and and... :boom:

Maybe I should snag this tempting turbo setup and rid myself of the leaky ball flange Doug Thorley headers

I've never had a vehicle with forced induction and I have thought about a turbo or the Magnuson SC many times but there's much I don't know.

Maybe I could get some pro's and con's

Turbo will take a little more work to get set up where as super is pretty much bolt on and go. The turbo makes more fun noises and you can use an intercooler to help keep intake temps down. The 3.4L supercharger doesn’t come with an intercooler and you can’t really add one either. With that in mind you could make more power with the turbo if you really wanted to.

    Turbo pros:
    Sounds good af
Can fine tune it a lot more
    Intercooler
    Street cred, make everyone jealous
    Cons:
    Initial install more involved
    Turbo lag

    supercharger pros:
    Bolt on and rip
    Linear power
    Cons:
    The whine gets old sometimes
    No intercooler

I don’t think you can go wrong either way to be honest.

I appreciate the feedback I'll give it some serious consideration and do a little more research.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'd say the main con of the turbo system is initial time to setup (installation, extra parts, tune) vs the supercharger which is just bolt on and tune. The turbo setups will make more power for any given PSI than the SC and upto a certain amount of boost will be easier on the engine due to the lower IAT and progressive spool.

The tune and install both bring some concern to me because I'm in a small town and would be doing it all myself without any knowledge of what I'm doing.
I'm assuming I'd need a Haltech 1500 for the tuning aspects which is something I've been interested in learning more about

Checked a few things off the list but I did a terrible job of getting pictures.
    IMG_20230210_143848.jpg

The alternator is in and the wires are on except for the additional ground to the frame.
I snapped the new negative bettery terminal so I had to order another
    IMG_20230210_231411.jpg

I guess that gives me enough time to source an M6 bolt for the new ground

Even with the broken terminal I'm seeing higher voltage
    IMG_20230210_233406.jpg
it was a little chilly in the garage.

Next thing on the list was the AFR sensor and O² sensor
    IMG_20230211_113729.jpg

I ordered an extra O² sensor gasket for the AFR
    IMG_20230211_133847.jpg
The service manual doesn't have one but i just didn't trust it IMG_20230211_135934.jpg

Easy peasy moved on to the rear O²
any guesses as to what I found under the passenger side carpet while unplugging the sensor?
    IMG_20230211_165132.jpg
Good God 2 live rounds and an Adderall. That chapstick was melted all over the place :bananadead:

I however wasn't able to get the rear sensor out. I disconnected the cat back and rolled the exhaust pipe over to get a better angle at the nuts but they're crazy rusted IMG_20230211_145652.jpg
I'll have to figure something else out. Probably take it to the exhaust shop and remove the last 6 remaining inches of the OEM exhaust pipe

Nice build, everything looks great. I rebuilt seats on a different car years ago. Got new foam and covers. Added some piping to protect areas that wore faster. Better than new when done.

I have a buddy working at a local upholstery shop that suggested getting new foam for the seats and adding a little extra padding for the bolsters. heating elements aren't too pricey or hard to add but Air Conditioning is where the real luxury comfort is at especially on long hot drives. If Scheel-mann's seats had AC I'd probably have ordered them by now

I’ve had the heated seats and they were nice, never something I cared about though. I’m pretty basic.

Well I decided to buy the turbo. Now I've got to do a LOT of learning and a bit more shopping to do. I've read through most of the 3.4 SC thread and lucky some of that should help,

I will probably need new injectors or at least have mine cleaned. I've been meaning to do that regardless for general maintenance purposes.

Fuel pump (for the 4th time)
THIS one should do the trick.
    AEM 50-1200 E85 In-Tank Fuel Pump
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DQ73NO4

    AFR Guage
this one should do the trick.
    AEM (30-4110) UEGO
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3VGPYS

PCV oil catch can. I was already planning on this because I regularly find oil condensation on the vacuum line.
    IMG_20230211_163737.jpg
It's hard to see on camera but I've always wondered why it's so bad.

I'll definitely need to get the water pump and timing belt taken care of before adding more things to get in the way but that's unrelated maintenance.

That Ebay snorkel or at least the bottle neck hidden inside the fender for the stock airbox will probably need some attention

    New cam position sensors?
    New knock sensors?
    Cooler spark plugs?
    170° T Stat?
    TransGo shift kit?

    4.88's
    front locker
    2nd Gen steering wheel
    Rock sliders
    High clearance rear bumper
    Seats

    Maybe 35's and a 1" body lift

May I recommend the Aeromotive 11542 fuel pump instead of that AEM. The Aeromotive is a stronger performer

Also you always find condensation on that PCV line because you aren't supposed to put petroleum liquid or vapor through silicone, it can't take it and instead seeps through widening the pores.

It was oily on the original vacuum line when I did the valve covers before it was a Silicone line.

Are these Silicone lines going to need swapped out for a better vacuum line. I've never really loved the color and expected them to be a semi short term solution

Hope I'm not asking too many questions, don't mean to be a bother by any means

Nah you're good dude, kinda what the forum is for right? I always use regular rubber line (EPDM is best) on things carrying fuel or oil vapor. The wrong type of rubber can break down or sweat. Silicone doesn't do well for oil unless it is specifically designed for it with an inner wall that is impervious to coolant or oil and it will be more expensive than the vacuum line stuff. The vacuum line silicone stuff is just for vacuum, but it's good vacuum line.
