Hey guys. I've found a few threads on this topic but they were more aimed to older steering wheels. Anyways is there any chance a modern taco or 4runner wheel or something with stereo and handsfree calling controls and everything bolt up? I don't have airbags so I'm not concerned about that. Just looking for something I can throw on and make work with an android auto deck

How did you get the cc to work? I swapped in a newer wheel into a 97 4runner and I read that you need to change the resistors???

The 95-97 just have a different pinout but you can swap the pins and add the extra one it needs, @mechanicjon knows what's necessary

2001 and up, an IS300 wheel is a direct swap. CC and horn are plug and play. Love mine. IMG_20190728_160805252.jpg

Yes, pop old wheel and connector off, then connect the IS300 harness and install the wheel. Plug and play, no hiccups of any kind. I used a 2001-2003 Rav4 airbag so I had a Toyota logo instead of Lexus. Either will work fine with the 2001-2004 Taco airbag connector.

A manual IS300 wheel like Speedytech's will look cleaner, as it wont have the button shifters. But theyre super hard to come by unless you like paying an arm and a leg. I did my best to make the buttons look like any other switch blank by JB welding them so they cant be depressed and then painting them a satin black to match. IMG_20190727_104235506.jpg

Bench to bucket swap, steering wheel swap, full interior recolor, map light swap.
I just swapped my 01 Tacoma wheel for A 2002 Lexus RX300 leather wheel and it looks great. Don’t have cc so just removed the stalk. The airbag and horn ground were plug and play. Easy peasy!
