What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

wire wheel attachments on my Dewalt drill, some paint stripper, lots of sanding, and about a thousand coats of hyper dip (the color is “brass monkey”). See attached pic for how they started

 

Made some progress on the dual battery system. Mounting the battery trays, the DC-DC charger and Fuses. The next step will be to wire it in.

 

Just added a cb radio

 

Anyone out there lift a 3rd gen pro can u get a set of leafs to lift it some an keep the stock shocks?

 

Is the 3rd gen pro worth it over the off road?
Looking at a used 2020 pro lightly moded.

 

Always buy new if you can swing it. I prefer the off-road trim with led headlights and zero other factory options as there's tons of aftermarket parts available to customize it to your needs and wants. The off road rides very nice and is quite capable. You'll save a ton of cash over the pro trim too.

 

After 3 years, I finally decided to install the knock off Heritage/Pro grille. I do like the look, but after I got it all installed I’ll admit I was a bit underwhelmed. Meh, it looks arguably better I suppose.

Can you tell me how does the light go on under the hood, is it by a switch or does it go on with a switch when you open the hood? Where did you order the under hood kit from?

 

You can order from matt gecko leds. I have the same thing under my hood. Its nice and its controlled by a switch. You probably could change it to the switch that turns it on when you open the hood

A whole lot of alu-cab install and finally finished my DDI mount/ARB twin compressor install. Not without some issues.

Compressor barely fits with wiring reroute but it does fit. Admittedly I did leave out the small rear jacker to keep some angle on the seat.

Yep, what he said. Under the hood was a very easy install. Running the power line from the bed was a little work, but not too bad.

Started the JD fab auxiliary fuel box install.

 

Ecoboost or 5.0? If it’s a 5.0 I would highly recommend Oz Tuning. Their Omega tune is a beast.

I hear was just hoping to not start a new build all over again.

I almost pulled the trigger on this but they wanted to charge state tax when I'm out state. not sure it WA state is the issue or if this place was just trying to get more money.

Oh boy...I ordered the TRD lift kit at my local Toyota dealer...It'll be there in 1-2 days then they're going to call me to drop my truck off.
