So I’m finally getting my differential sent off to ECGS and I’ve run into a slight problem. I’ve packed the side and bottom of the bucket in cardboard and when I place the differential into the bucket it’s quite a tight fit. 96E02459-CC8E-427C-B0E4-384A72951602.jpgIf I could get this piece on the side off it would be a perfect fit. I’ve undone the bolts and attempted to remove it with a screwdriver and no dice. I don’t have any of my tools since I’m at my parent’s house so any advice would be greatly appreciated. How do I remove this? Can I even remove it? I can’t find a part number for it so I’m not even sure what it is as I’ve already remove the locker motor and sensor. Thank you for any and all help.

I believe that just is the spot where the shift fork goes into when unlocked. Should come off with a few whacks once the RTV seal is freed up.

Yep I managed to figure that out after looking through a service manual, took a screwdriver to the sealant and managed to get it off. Diff slid right in after that so I put the 2 bolts and the part in a plastic baggie and taped it to the side of the diff.
