I've never seen that much water flowing out to the ocean there, very cool. Right where your trucks are is where we found the bear tracks on the beach the last time we were there.

    Looks like a great trip.

Coincidentally, the dogs scared off a bear in our camp late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Go to Point Reyes or up to Prairie Creek Redwoods. There are one or two herds with some huge elk there. OMG.

I camped on Gold Bluff beach once and saw these majestic elk right through our campsite:

But I haven't seen them at Usal yet. Maybe the next time I'm up there I'll get lucky.

How many do you think are going? I'm debating if I want to get up at 6 for it. I like to keep my trips under 10 rigs for the traffic.

I LOVE my V8 '05 limited. It has Tundra front set up and FJ80 rear springs with Fox 2.0 shocks. With my 1" body spacers, my 32" KO2's barely rub.

I can host in Roseville if you invite me. My driveway has some slope to it, but the kegerator makes up for that.

I've got to weld up my skid plate kit so I can send it and my new bumper to powder coating, I've got a bunch of electrical work I need to tackle, and this weekend the rear hatch stopped working so I need to remove my platform and drawers through the rear seats so I can figure out why it isn't actuating.

I don’t have mods yet, but down to come over and hang out. I’ll bring beer. Ever since I saw yours at Usal, I’ve been on a lookout for one. I must say, it is a joy to drive!

Yeah, there is a lot to like about a 4th Gen, especially the V8. They are underrated because they don't have lockers (except the V8 has a center diff with locker instead of a traditional transfer case) or all the nanny buttons (although ATRAC is included and always on). Also a lot of the bushings will be worn since they still work well enough, but are OLD. Despite that, they are very driveable and get up obstacles better than they should.

Tonight before settling into the couch for some TacomaWorld, I was just starting to tack my skid plates together and realized the gas that was barely flowing last time I welded is no longer flowing. I guess I better get home early enough tomorrow to get to the welding shop.

I'll double check with my wife, but Sunday should be open. If anyone wants to hang out and work on our trucks (and 4Runners) DM me and I will share my address. We can schedule for another weekend as well, I am largely open schedule. I have a Sac Republic game to watch on the 4th and my wife bough tickets for my birthday to go to Utah and watch the MORR Off-Road Wrecker Games so I'm out the 11th & 12th.
