    Hello all,
New to Tacoma Tucks, never bought a new Toyota until last week. It arrived on Saturday, should pick it up tomorrow or Tuesday. At any rate, I understand the value, and durability of the brand, and I needed a smaller truck, so here I go. I picked up a 23 TRD off road double cab. Looking forward to learning sand enjoying this thing off road and on. In Texas on the gulf coast, might get it sandy before it ever sees mud.

    Take care,
    Jason

Did Toyota address some of these faults he talks about with oil and coolant leaks?

The coolant leak at the back of the truck has popped up a few times on newer trucks but is still rare. The front timing cover leak was more prevalent on the 2017 & 18’s. However, they still pop up once in a while but are still uncommon.

These are just some things to be aware of and are not common. Nothing is perfect tho. There are a lot of these 3rd gens on the roads.

Enjoy your new truck and don’t let those items worry you. My 2020 has been trouble free so far.
