    Hello all,

I have recently decided that I would like to install a tablet on my motorcycle, I am planning on using a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, I would like to be able to use apple carplay for navigation, from what I can tell this adapter should allow me to do that but I wanted to check to make sure I'm tracking properly.

Essentially, I would have the tablet mounted above the dash, a cable running from the dash to a tank bag where the splitter is so I can power the tablet and also input the carplay signal, and I can either plug in my phone or have wireless carplay.

Carplay Adapter: Amazon.com: CarlinKit Wireless CarPlay USB Adapter, for Android car radios with Android System 4.4.2 or Above, only Android car radios, The APK Must be Successfully Installed Before Using USB, Wired to Wireless : Electronics

Adapter dongle to power and connect devices: Amazon.com: Anker USB C Hub, 341 USB-C Hub (7-in-1) with 4K HDMI, 100W Power Delivery, USB-C and 2 USB-A 5 Gbps Data Ports, microSD and SD Card Reader, for MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, XPS, and More : Electronics

Does all of this sound correct?

From what I can tell, as long as you connect up like in the pictures for the hub, it should work. I can't say how well the carplay adapter will work going through a hub though.

    Update on this:
I got back from my trip and everything had arrived so I mocked it up in the living room last night.
Everything works well, I thought at first that CarPlay only worked in portrait orientation but discovered today that if you connect the device while it’s in landscape it will display in landscape.
I also connected my helmet Bluetooth system and music plays correctly, I have not checked to see if “hey Siri” or pressing the voice command button on the headset will work properly yet.

    Test run 1:

Trying to see if CarPlay will run in the background while in DMD2 app, it does.

and figuring out the landscape orientation of CarPlay.
