my name is rick and I have had my 02 4x4 extra cab with a 2.7, 5 speed for almost 2 years now and when I got it all sorted out it turns out to be a great truck except it did not come with cruse control. and I have done audiovox cruse installs on two other cars and it worked well and was easy to do, so I found a new-old stock audiovox system (they don't make them anymore) to install and the only problem I am hitting a road block on is locating a good tach signal wire. I did read the thread bybrokennarsil16 posted in June of 2018 he was installing aftermarket tach and had many of the same issues I am having in locating a signal wire and that post provided me with a great bit of info that I will check out. does any one have a picture of the tach wire on the back of the ECU? I really do not want to take apart my whole dash board and I already have access to the ECU. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I am glad to be a new member of forum and I see there is a wealth of info here.

I completed the cruse control install and it works great. My tach signal ended up coming from a light green w/black stripe wire from the ECU. Thank you for the welcomes and I look forward to exploring this forum and will try and get a thumbnail pic up next to my name soon.
