I run my SS3s at night, in bad weather and under some of these long NYC underpass/tunnels where there's no light and tons of potholes. Before I did this, I did take the time to properly AIM my SS3s so they're not blinding anyone but the guy in the dropped Civic with a coffee can muffler.

The engineers at Audi would disagree having their fog lights as daytime running lights on many of their vehicles.

considering the insanely bright swath of light from tesla headlights or people that leave high beam assist constantly on, the stock fogs are not any more blinding

That's it guys, OP resolved the issue of people driving around with fogs with just this one post.

I have never been blinded by Fog lights, they usually aimed low.
My Taco's White LED Fogs are not that bright, when I turn it on, it illuminate about 10 feet in fornt of the bumper on the ground well within the low beam range.
Just don't know the person who "Blinded" OP is here to see this thread....

I was pulled over in Indiana for flashing an oncoming driver with their brights on, given a warning, and told it's illegal. I may have even said 'bullshit!" out of sincere shock, he asked if I'd rather have a ticket?

So yeah. Good Ol' California hatin' Midwest.

This. Brights I get all the time, there's no reason a responsible owner dropping fogs in the DRL openings can't aim them, assuming they're actual fogs and not just poseur amber LED's.

I'm Also on the use it when needed, don't when not bandwagon. That means inclement/low vis situations. I appreciate that many have a need to be 'seen' that they use their truck for. Do you.

How many responsible owners are actually here? Most don't even know the diff between fog and driving lights.

^^^^THIS 100%^^^^ I am convinced that those newer Subarus have their high beams on automatically or something, it's always the inner lights (generally always highbeam location) that are on and they are WAY too freakin bright to be a lowbeam. Pisses me off every time I see one coming down the road, they must have an autoswitch that people just leave on and don't realize that it's actually their highbeams.

Subaru's have auto high beams on all the time if you leave the lights in auto. Of course the stalk has to be forward, but it's still always auto HB's. This annoys the shit out of me in our '19 Outback. The only way to turn that feature off is to turn the lights in the "on" position. It never dips right and winds up blinding other people. I just manually control it.

The California comment was in regards to the ball in place while driving had nothing to do with late. Pay attention to what you read.

I knew it! Haha, thanks for confirming for me. That doesn't seem like a very smart idea by them in hindsight.
