It's nothing but rock also, not suitable for building a house on. House and land prices are unreal right now.

the lot next to my house is I believe 116 acres, has a preexisting barn and and huge pond on it. roughly even split of clear cut and woods. the property is split by the highway that runs behind my property. I was told the asking price was 1.2 million dollars
I would love to be able to obtain the property especially the portion that directly borders mine, to gurantee no one build next to me, but thats just a dream. I guess Im hoping that the chicken houses that are located across from the property will deter any devolper from coming in and creating a subdivison.

My daughter had 2 antlered bucks in her back yard yesterday - suburb to the east of Pittsburgh.

Anyway, does anyone know what the bumps (dark brown) on this buck's neck and rump are called?? What causes them?? I have seen some other pics that are ALOT worse than this one.

    Just curious.image (7).jpg

I’m not sure what causes it but, a lot of deer develop tumors. I’ve seen deer with tumors the size of grapefruit.

Looks like maybe an 8 point and the smaller one in the second pic (lower left)is about a fork horn.

The deer are frequent visitors in her yard and drive her 2 dogs APESHIT, especially Ellie, her pit bull mix!!!

Deer are extremely resilient, they get shot by gun and bow, hit by vehicles and gored by other bucks and still live.

Seen a doe in Pennsyltucky with one on her neck the size of a soccer ball.
She ran with the herd for 3 years that I seen her, and kept up with the other deer.

Went out to the mountain today. found a saddle last year that is HOT. youngins put cameras in there for sheds and getting a ton of buck pics. not worried about them but loose lips sink ships. been ground blind hunting it,but put a ladder stand in there today, its in a spot you cant miss to see it..Its a DECOY,letting others know someone is hunting there. ill move it 75yds this fall to where ill hunt it. now,its just for people to see,and say how out of place it is. I came across this item in my woods, and was curious if anyone might know what it was/used for.

Way back when (circa 2003) we had some breakfast sausage made from a couple deer and we're never really impressed. Fast forward to this year and a guy I work with gave me a pack. I asked if he tried to make patties out of them or if they were likely to fall apart (which was almost always our results) and he said it didn't make great patties, so I had a plan ready; it doesn't hurt that my favorite food is gravy and biscuits. Anyway, I whipped up some deer sausage gravy and a pan of biscuits this morning. It was noticably not pork but I still cleaned my plate. I'd almost describe it as SOS with some sage... Very tolerable but I'll probably stick with just burger meat
