Nope, that is just a 1-3/4" DOM tube on top of the frame, there is a narrow window where it will fit without a body lift.

 

It’s fine now. I went wheeling and it ripped completely out. It flopped down and pogo sticked the ass end off the ground so I unbolted it. I used to love this truck, I swear

 

That happened on my old truck in the How To thread, shock fell off and pogod in death valley, that prompted that thread haha

 

I have a couple feet of 1.5" sch 40 that I was gonna use for that

Thanks for the chat. I think I have enough info to crawl underneath and visualize and throw a tape around. I’ve seen the outboard set ups. I don’t want to French anything or rub. I don’t need to get every drip of travel. Stock springs are clapped out, one shock is gone and just need down and dirty heavy hauler. I got a Ruff Stuff kit and springs. I’ll get some 12’s with a short rod eye and some tube. Rolling the lowers down isn’t a big deal for what that tuck does. This won’t go down until probably April. I might be back for more questions. I think I'd rather have this.

 

Just make sure you nip the back of the ruff stuff main eye mount off if you aren't frenching them, or they'll bend your leafs

 

I'd much rather have that, or @mjbtaco truck. That other truck is going to haunt my dreams, just knowing it exists is bad enough, but to think someone did that to it is even worse.

We have a love hate relationship but I’m committed till its second death. It was a 3.4 auto until 309k motor let go and I 3rz swapped it with a 5 speed out of a 02’ with 120k miles. Put the D44 in, put manual hubs and a lunch box locker up front. O and had a little fire up under the dash so I got to swap the wiring harness a second time. Positive wire for the Amp shorted out but didn’t blow the fuse. I ran it from underneath the glove box through the center console and past one little spot on the harness and for whatever reason thats where it went down.

 

Have you guys considered I post these trucks to trigger Zane ?

 

It works, they're just awful machines and the people who built them should be tried for treason
