If you only need front seat covers just get Clazzios. PVC for $235 or best leather for $360. Had them in 3 trucks and the leathers still looked new after 5 years. Going on 2 years with the PVC and they hold up fine. There are options between these prices. Pix of our 2008 and 2012

Completed installation of the Sony MEX-N5300BT radio in Barcelona Red after my school crossing guard gig this morning. Huge improvement in FM reception in the formerly spotty coverage area between the prairie and downtown from ESPN Radio FM in Spokane. After getting home this morning, managed to get the wiring stuffed into the dash far enough to at last secure the Metra mount with radio and clock/flasher module, followed by the climate controls. (I reset the clock time after taking the photo to 9:42...) Had to turn the volume down by half compared to the original radio, so Infinity 9633ix speakers are slated for the doors as a future project. Next project is removing the left rear wheel and tire on the other red truck to have Costco order a pair to replace the oldest pair on the '07 Mal'bu. (Bought from Alaska Sales and Service rental fleet in '09, as a daughter observed, "It's missing the 'I'." Good it's already damaged... No worries...20230216_093913[1].jpg

Its aluminum on the outside with a steel structure for the winch, I had to use all the welding techniques for the project so TIG and Mig/Stick after figuring out loads and inches of weld required. The steel frame is spray painted with whatever spray paint I could find in the lab at the time, shows some rust but not bad for how old it is.

There was supposed to be a top a some side panels along with recesses for the fog lights that I never did.

Here's an older picture, it's parked against a wall right now at work or I would go outside and get a current one.

Replaced both CV Axles. Both had leaked but the passenger side was shot. Inboard joint was like an accordion. I bought a boot kit from Toyota so I'll reboot one (the non accordion one) as a trail spare.

Drained the front diff and replaced the drain plug with the Lexus version.

Currently own Wet Okoles. Fit and finish is great, but now they’re wearing out pretty badly on the drivers outboard side.I looked through the thread.help me out…what’s the base seat cover material??

2014 Tacoma SR5 4x4 DC SB V6 AT Tow Pkg Entune+ Mostly stock with a few OEM mods.
Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
TRD Pro Grille. Removing the stock insert was the most intimidating part of the job because I had to re-use the surround. I didn't break any of the tabs, but it doesn't give up easily. The aftermarket replacement fit and lined up perfectly. I haven't seen the $400 OEM piece in person, but I can't imagine it could look any better than this one. The matte-black finish is an excellent match to the stock OEM unit as well.

The rubber gasket on the top was a little pesty to remove. The little clips were hard to work through the holes in the surround that hold them. (Interestingly, I don't think I have ever seen this rubber strip mention in any of the "how to" vids on this mod.) There was another strip of deteriorated/weathered-out self adhesive gasket in this area too across the surround. I just left it alone.

It was a fun job/mod... and it looks nice. Truck doesn't look so much like a Frigidaire now, or a rolling Kenmore washing machine. Pic tomorrow.

Check with Wet Okole . Last time mine was worn (4years ago ? ) I was able to buy the new bottom from them for $40 . We got a Wet Okole store in Hawaii so talked to someone there and he told me about the replacement for $40

Do It For Dale mod for this weekend. I'm not about Presidents' Day (for any president, to be clear), I choose to remember my childhood role model instead.

Take a cotton ball with some cheap non-acetone fingernail polish remover to wipe off the avs logo.
