I am planning on upgrading my BFG KO2 265/70 to 285/75 and drive highway mostly, occasional off road trails a few times a year. Is the Toyo AT II my best bet or NITTO ?

It's like asking "what's the best ice cream flavor?"

I go with whatever is the best deal at the time, which has usually been Nitto Terra Grapplers. I've had 3 sets that I've gotten 50k+ highway miles out of. Low road noise and they wear nicely.

I would go Toyo, if I didn’t stick with BFG

I'd take the Nitto Ridge grappler for looks, 65 lbs C load but the Toyo ATIII for mpg and being easier on your engine at 60 lbs in C load.

Have you looked at the Toyo RT Trail ? not AT, but looks promising.

have BFG now but don’t want to run them again.

This is what I’ve been debating.

    I actually have..heard it’s rather quiet?

    hmmmm didn’t really consider these

I ran a set of them in a 285/75/16 and they were pretty awesome. Probably the smoothest riding off-road tires I’ve ran.

Check out the BFG Trail Terrain TA tires. They are designed to be a hybrid, and while they are 3 peak rated for snow, they are extremely quiet on roads. Also good rain performance.
