Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Definitely and odd winter - already seeing/hearing song birds. There are two Red Wing Blackbirds visiting the feeder - they don't normally get to our area until late March or early April.

Good morning all! Left the bike at home this morning and drove the Tacoma. Rain in the forecast starting around lunchtime and I washed the bike last night after I got home from work. Would like it to stay clean for more than 24 hours for once.

 

Rain will be here soon. Got to get the little dog out for her walk a daybreak. Hopefully no critters (not you John, ) will be hanging on the edge of the woods as we walk.

Anyone else a little worried about the rain we're supposed to be getting all day today in the east after this massive chemical spill one state over? Knowing how most weather moves into the area, it's usually from west to east right across the whole state. I'm sure the wind has pushed a whole lot of that shit in the air into PA, and possibly into the storm clouds that will now be raining down on our state. Hopefully I'm wrong but it makes you think. The government sure as hell isn't worried about it in any way that's for sure. That's what makes me worried more.

 

Yeah. I've been following it. I'm about 28 miles downwind from the site, going southwest. I saw on the local news a man from the crash site area say he has seen no sparrows since the disaster. I see birds flying and chirping here so Mother Nature gives me some hope in the short term. As for the long term, it's unknown.

 

Well that's good to hear. I looked at the track of this storm and it's actually moving NE for most of the day. Makes me feel a little better.

 

Yes! I’ve worked in poly vinyl chloride plants and that stuff will literally eat you alive.

 

Also heard something about acid rain ? SMH

 

Wouldn't be surprised at all, that's kinda what I'm worried about.

 

Guy at work showed me an areial pic of it a d it's dangerous looking, some huge black plume looking cloud , and when the rain goes through it . ..
Over 3500 fish are belly up, now I read animals are dying .
