Just sharing my experience. Purchased a $39.99 set of wheel blackout decals from a user on Etsy. I’ve derped wheels before and been happy but wanted to try something different.
They’re laser cut and precise. Tougher to install than I thought. Similar to installing tint to do it right. Wet install with squeezing out water/air and some heat gun to get perfect. 1 wheel took about 1.5 hours. The next 3 will be faster now that I have the hang of it. The decal leaves a small 2-3mm gap around the outside edge that I’m going to paint black. I think installed right they’ll last a year or two. Worth $40 for some garage putzing time and a temporary solution while I save up for the wheels I want.
