    Hello

Driving home this afternoon when my CEL and trac off light came on. Engine makes a very loud ticking (almost a rattle) noise at 3000 rpm’s regardless of the gear.
Pulled the code at got P0420- catalytic converter performing below efficiency. Would this cause my problem?

About a month ago I hit a speed bump pretty hard and threw my steering wheel out of alignment- the “car on springs” light came on and has been on since. Never fixed it as the car has been tracking fine. I don’t know what the difference between this light and the trac off light is and if this is related.

    Thanks for any help!
    -Ryan

    Edit:
My gf took a video of the noise:

FYI this is the light I’m talking about when I say car on springs. Just what I’ve always called it.

Brush guard, step rails, alum tool box, alloy wheels.
Check your exhaust from the manifold to rear tail pipe, Heat shields vibrate loose and Cat covers can become detached at a weld point, will flex a little but with engine running its more noticeable. Good Luck

There’s a hole in my cat. Found out Toyota had a recall on it in 2015- getting it replaced free the 17th!

    OME and worth every penny.
BTW that light is the Trac Control/Stability Control and flashes on whenever the check engine light comes on because you teporarily go into limp mode.
