How do you get these washer things to go on the back of the garnish to hold it on? I’ve tried pushing on it with a 7mm socket but it won’t slip on and I’m afraid to break the plastic peg it’s trying to go onto. Help

edit: I’m putting the washer on with the teeth facing upwards like a mountain not facing down like a bowl.

@Grimble27 lay down a towel. The place down the TSS, and then the grill all face down. Then hit that little shittin thing with a good wack of the hammer and that socket... and it slides right on. Make sure you hit straight on. Otherwise it wont go on. Don't be afraid of it. But don't go all retarded on it either.

Thank you. I’ve been trying a towel and it just doesn’t give enough resistance when I hit it. The garnish is recessed a little from the grill face so I just can’t get enough back pressure to keep the pegs in place when I hit them. I’ll keep trying

@Grimble27 double the towel thickness. Or have someone push down on the grill to tighten up the TSS / grill fitment. Then wack it.

I used a 10 or 11 mm socket, attached to a driver head. Placed against some towels and just tried to push it down.
