Just purchased some oem running boards for my crew cab but of course hardware wasn’t included. Anyone have some tips or info for hardware? I’ve seen the pdf on how to install and noticed they take frame locking bolts that I can’t seem to find anywhere.

I’m looking for the hardware. Are you asking for pictures of my running boards or the pdf install?

So do you have the actual brackets that attach the board to the frame? There should be 3. As for availability, that is going to be a tough one. I don't believe they were available as an individual part. They came with the running board.

The thread you linked to is different from the double cab. Here is what they look like -

3 brackets on each board -

Secured with these into the frame. 2 per bracket, except for the front which has a guide pin on the frame I believe which inserts into one of the holes.

I'll see if I can hang it on the truck and get a pic of each bracket so you better see how it attaches. Stand by.

This is an actual image of the boards I bought. All brackets are intact but they didn't come with any of the bolts. If all they take are 12mm bolts and 2 guide pin bolts that kind of look like T bolts tbat should be easy enough to grab from a hardware store. image.jpg

Pics of how it attaches to the truck -

Front (driver side but its the same as passenger)

    upload_2023-2-18_13-52-48.jpg

    Driver side attached -

    upload_2023-2-18_13-54-10.jpg

You have 1 bolt and 1 flanged nut for the driver side to secure the front -

    upload_2023-2-18_13-55-54.jpg

    Middle bracket -

    upload_2023-2-18_13-57-31.jpg

Rear bracket - has a notched top section and there is a pin you hang it on to aid in installation.

Blurry but you can see the notch -

This is excellent info that should be stickied. Thank you for going through the trouble of taking pictures.

Looks much easier to install than I originally thought.
