    Hey there,

New Tacoma owner, just purchased a 2010 DCab 4x4 with 150k miles. (bumper guard removed! lol) Very happy with it so far. Needed a bit of refreshing on the front end (new LCAs, low-mile 3gen UCAs) 3 u-joints and a CSB. It had brand new tires and still had a steering wheel vibration at 40-50mph and so I removed the 1" wheel spacers and it disappeared!

This is my first truck and coming from the sports-car world, I've not dealt with wheel spacers quite this thick. And they aren't hubcentric. I'm happy with the stock look now, but wouldn't mind the extra "poke" for looks and maybe a tiny bit of lateral stability from the increased track width.

    Questions are:
    1. Do they make a 1" wheel spacer that won't cause any vibration?
    2. I plan to two a 5k lb car/trailer - so I'm thinking the spacers are less optimal here?

The truck has the factory tow package. It was also lifted 2" by the PO. I assume wheel bearings might be weak link here. Since the truck is a 6 lug, maybe that offsets?

    Help me weigh my options.

    Thanks!

Bora or Spidertrax. Bora makes a .75 inch spacer that I ran for a long time with no issues

If you really want spacers get some hub centric spacers with Toyota spec’s. BORAs as linked above are good. I’ve had 2 sets and they are top quality but you’ll have a 2-4week wait time after ordering. Most reputable off the shelf spacers are 1.25” (like spidertrax). Otherwise I don’t trust Amazon generics….not because of the spacer material but because of questionable stud quality.
