A quick 04 frame rust question

Hey all I've seen this asked quite a bit actually but usually the people never did the actual recall, I did take my truck in for the recall around 2010 so my question is does that matter at all they said everything was fine but like most others my frame is rusted out shock mount broke off spare tire fell off. Is it still expired regardless of me taking it in to the dealership? Thanks

 

The warranty period is 12 years from date truck was purchased new, so if your truck was originally purchased in late 2003, the period would have expired as early as late 2015...

 

It is all on you now what ever you decide to do.

It was never a Recall but a extended warranty in states that saw winter weather.

 

The frame replacement was 15 years from date of purchace if the truck met all the required conditions. So the last year for that would have been 2019 for the 2004 models. The spare tire carrier was a recall so does not expire. The 2nd gen frame replacement period was for 12 years. My truck was likeley one of the last done on Toyotas dime in early 2020 at a cost of around $13,000
